Business Leader reports that the South West tech sector is set to grow to almost £20bn Gross Value Added (GVA) a year by 2026, creating over 125,000 new jobs . The report also highlights that the region has a strong track record of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Tech South West has launched an Angel Investor Programme to address funding gap and foster innovation . The programme aims to connect investors with early-stage tech companies in the region.

SETsquared is launching two new programmes of specialist support for creative tech and green tech businesses in the South West this Autumn . The support will focus on critical business needs such as raising investment, developing scalable and profitable business plans, and identifying and applying for appropriate funding for all-important research.
According to Collins Dictionary, the abbreviation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been named the Word of the Year 2023. The dictionary defines AI as “the modelling of human mental functions by computer programs” and chose it because it “has accelerated at such a fast pace and become the dominant conversation of 2023”.
